Yesterday evening the Government announced that it would be nominating former Director of Public Prosecutions LucasFitzroy to serve on the High Court, pending formal appointment by President O'Sullivan.
The Government stated that Fitzroy's nomination was part of an initiative to strengthen the judicial system.
Fitzroy served as Director of Public Prosecutions from December 2024 to October 2025.
