Former Taoiseach leahvnx has been victorious in her bid to be the first non-unionist member of the House of Commons in recent memory, rejuvenating a political career some considered over after her loss to Fine Gael in the January 2026 general election.

leahvnx will take her seat once the new UK Parliament convenes.
